position: groupleader bioinformatics at the Dep of Microbial and Molecular
Systems,K.U.Leuven
As a bioinformatician with expertise in microbial molecular biology I am
fascinated by Systems Biology. In our research group, we want to study an
organism, as an integrated and interacting network of genes, proteins and
biochemical reactions. Our research goal is to gain insight in the structure
and evolution of these molecular networks through integrative modeling of
large amounts of high-throughput molecular data. In our interdisciplinary
team we devise new algorithms for data integration and network inference and
apply them on our prokaryotic model systems.
